Drip irrigation

As surface and groundwater are more and more affected by human beings, they are increasingly exposed to contamination and, at the same time, to the risk of eclipse. Because of these negative consequences, an environmentally conscious lifestyle and water conservation are in everyone’s primary interest.

Finding sustainable and efficient irrigation techniques such as drip irrigation is necessary for having enough food for nearly 8 billion people on the planet. Using drip irrigation can be a solution in order to reduce water usage.

Drip irrigation has a number of expressable advantages (even financially in the long run) over other forms of irrigation. In this case, the water is delivered directly to the base of the given plant, so there is no extra water loss and no unnecessary infiltration. This highly efficient method is a good solution in many ways, as it saves soils from salinization, protects water resources from the premature depletion, less evaporation loss and weed formation, and last but not least spares unnecessary expenses.
